Spatial planning is greatly aided by the presence of the Adi Soemarmo Airport Train Link (KA BIAS) and the Electric Multiple Unit (KRL) commuter train that connects Solo and Yogyakarta as part of the mass transit system. Both KRL and KA BIAS have seen yearly increases in passenger numbers. The idea behind Transit Oriented Development (TOD) is to combine spatial organization with transportation infrastructures. Important nodes is the transportation network are the Solo Yogyakarta KRL stations that cross the KA BIAS route, such as Solo Balapan Station, Solo Jebres Station, an Palur Station. As stated in the Surakarta City Spatial Plan (RTRW), which clearly designates Solo Balapan ond Solo Jebres Station, as Transit Oriented Development zone, the purpose of this study is to evaluate the degree of TOD development compatibility across the Solo Yogyakarta KRL and KA BIAS stations. The variables for this study were indentified and determined using a quantitative method with a comparison approach based on pertinent previous studies. The TOD implementation at Solo Balapan. Solo Jebres, and Palur Stations served by both KRL and KA BIAS is the main subject of the analysis. The result show that optimal variable values across variety, density, design, and transit characteristics dominate TOD implementation at Solo Balapan Station, indicating substantial potential for Transit Oriented Area Development. Jebres Station is notable mainly in density and transit, but Palur Station scores higher in diversity and transit. Overall, the three case studies show clear distinctions that align with the Spatial Plan’s goals for Transit Oriented Area Development.
